Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
FitFace AI ("we," "our," or "the app") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use FitFace AI.
1. Face and Body Photo Data We Collect
FitFace AI allows eligible adult users to upload or capture face photos and body photos only when the user chooses to submit an image for analysis inside the app.
Face-photo and body-photo analysis features are restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. If a user is under 18, or if age has not been validly provided or confirmed, FitFace AI blocks face-photo and body-photo analysis features.
For under-18 users, FitFace AI may provide a questionnaire-based youth fitness planning flow instead of face-image or body-image analysis. This youth flow is designed to avoid requiring face or body photo uploads.
These images may contain visible appearance-related information such as facial features, skin appearance, jawline appearance, posture, or body composition indicators.
FitFace AI does not create biometric identifiers, faceprints, identity-verification templates, or biometric authentication measurements.
FitFace AI does not attempt to identify who a person is in a photo. The app does not perform facial recognition, identity verification, or biometric identification.
2. How We Use Face and Body Photo Data
Submitted images are used only to provide the features requested by the user in the app.
Age information provided during onboarding may be used to determine whether a user is eligible for photo-based analysis features and to apply safety restrictions inside the app.
- Generating face analysis and body analysis results
- Providing personalized fitness, recovery, or improvement recommendations
- Displaying progress insights in the user's account
- Returning analysis results to the user's device
FitFace AI does not use face or body photos for advertising, marketing profiling, or unrelated analytics.
3. Who We Share Face and Body Photo Data With
When a user submits an image for analysis, the image may be temporarily processed through the following service providers in order to generate the requested result:
- Firebase Storage (Google), which temporarily stores the uploaded image so the analysis request can be processed.
- Our backend service, which securely processes the request.
- OpenAI, which performs AI-based processing required to generate the requested insights. We instruct providers to process images only for the requested feature and use provider controls that limit storage where supported.
We share images with these providers only for the purpose of completing the analysis requested by the user.
4. How Long Face and Body Photo Data Is Retained
FitFace AI does not retain uploaded face or body photos after analysis is completed.
Uploaded photos are stored temporarily in Firebase Storage only for the time needed to complete the analysis request, typically seconds to minutes.
After the analysis request finishes and results are returned to the user, the uploaded image is deleted.
This temporary storage is required because the analysis workflow requires a short upload step before processing can occur.
FitFace AI does not store uploaded photos indefinitely.
While images are deleted after processing, the app may retain derived analysis results, recommendations, and progress-related metrics associated with the user's account. These results do not contain the original photo data.
5. Age Restrictions and Youth Mode
FitFace AI uses age information collected during onboarding to determine access to face-photo and body-photo analysis features.
- Users age 18 and older may access face-photo and body-photo analysis features, subject to other app rules.
- Users under 18 are not permitted to use face-photo or body-photo analysis features in the app.
- If age is missing, invalid, or not confirmed, face-photo and body-photo analysis features are blocked until age is provided and confirmed through onboarding.
- Eligible under-18 users may be directed to a questionnaire-based youth planning flow that does not require photo uploads.
When age-based restrictions apply, FitFace AI blocks image-based analysis both in the app and through our backend services.
6. Connected FitMacro + FitFace AI Features
If you use shared ecosystem features across FitFace AI and FitMacro, we may link your accounts using identifiers such as your app user ID and email address.
FitFace AI may send account-linked profile, wellness, and derived summary fields to our backend so the connected apps can provide shared context, daily or weekly AI coaching, and next-step guidance.
- Whether you completed a face scan or body scan
- Derived summary metrics such as sleep, hydration, steps, and workout minutes
- Derived score and signal summaries such as face score, body definition score, body fat range estimate, and nutrition guidance labels
- Profile and goal information such as age, sex, height, weight, target, activity level, and timezone
- Coaching actions, progress signals, notification preferences, and interactions with coaching features
This sync does not send the original uploaded face or body photos to FitMacro. It is used only for in-app wellness and fitness features, not for advertising.
7. AI Coaching and Micronutrient Context
Daily and weekly coaching may combine recent FitFace AI wellness summaries with nutrition summaries from FitMacro, including calories, protein, meal count, sodium, and estimated micronutrients. Account-linked summaries included in a coaching request may be processed by OpenAI to personalize the wording of coaching. Deterministic app rules may also select actions or identify trends before AI-generated wording is applied.
Micronutrient guidance is shown only when enough qualifying meal data is available. It is based on estimated food logs, may be inaccurate, and is limited to general food suggestions. It does not diagnose a deficiency or prescribe supplement doses.
8. Apple Health / HealthKit Data
If you choose to connect Apple Health / HealthKit, FitFace AI may read limited health data such as steps, exercise minutes, and sleep data in order to support the Daily Tracking feature.
HealthKit data is used only to provide health insights inside the app. We do not sell HealthKit data or share raw HealthKit records for advertising. If you use the FitMacro + FitFace AI ecosystem features, limited derived daily summary fields generated inside FitFace AI may be synced to our backend so the connected apps can show shared wellness context.
HealthKit access is optional and can be declined or revoked at any time in the Apple Health settings.
9. Notifications
If you enable notifications, we process a push notification token, platform, timezone, notification preferences, and limited delivery or coaching-event logs. We use this information to deliver reminders and personalized coaching notifications. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
10. Subscriptions and Purchases
RevenueCat and the applicable app store process product identifiers, subscription status, entitlements, transaction information, and purchase receipts. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.
11. AI-Generated Guidance and Medical Disclaimer
Some exercise recommendations, demonstrations, and guidance within the app are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
While we aim to provide helpful information, AI-generated recommendations may occasionally contain errors or mismatches.
Users should perform exercises carefully, use their own judgment, and stop immediately if an exercise feels unsafe.
If you notice incorrect exercises or guidance, you can report them through the Settings section of the app.
FitFace AI is a general wellness tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. AI-generated analysis, body-composition ranges, nutrition estimates, and coaching can be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not use the app for emergencies or as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
12. Third-Party Services
FitFace AI may rely on trusted third-party infrastructure providers:
- Firebase (Google) for authentication, storage, and backend services
- OpenAI for image analysis and AI-coaching processing
- RevenueCat and Apple or Google app stores for subscriptions and purchases
- Our ecosystem backend and hosting providers for account linking, shared summaries, coaching preparation, and notification delivery
- Diagnostics providers for crash and performance information where enabled
These services operate under their own privacy and security practices.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or our services, or in connection with a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising.
13. Data Retention and Deletion
- Original photos: Intended to be temporary and deleted after analysis completes. Temporary copies may persist briefly in provider backups or operational logs.
- Local records: Retained until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to in-app retention rules.
- Derived results, profile, ecosystem, coaching, and notification records: Retained while needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
- Purchase records: Retained by RevenueCat and app stores according to their policies and applicable law.
Use the in-app deletion controls for the data they cover. To request deletion of backend ecosystem, coaching, or notification records, email fitmacro14@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. Deleting the app removes local data from that device but does not by itself delete backend or subscription records. We may retain information where legally required or necessary for security.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or receive a portable copy of personal information. You may withdraw consent and revoke HealthKit or notification access in device settings. Contact us to exercise rights that are not available in the app.
15. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect user data and maintain secure communication between the app and our infrastructure.
No storage or transmission system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device and account credentials.
16. International Processing
Information may be processed in Canada, the United States, and other locations where our providers operate. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers.
17. Children's and Teen Privacy
FitFace AI is not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
FitFace AI also restricts face-photo and body-photo analysis features to adult users age 18 and older. Users under 18 are not permitted to use photo-based analysis features in the app and may instead be offered a questionnaire-based youth planning flow that does not require face or body image uploads.
18. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Changes will be reflected by updating the Last updated date at the top of this page.
